Content Scanner is the component used to gather documents for processing, INFO.Miner is the component that processes the documents and stores indexed documents, Lumina Query API is an application programming interface to the Lumina result set and Lumina Portal is the special UI developed by Lumina to view and navigate the results. The Domain model contains knowledge about the specific domain which helps process the documents and present them in the most useful way to the user. More specifically:

1. The Content Scanner is a harvester, getting documents from various sources and arranging them for processing. In particular, it includes a web crawler, which can be configured to import specific sections from specific sites.
2. INFO.Miner identifies the key concepts inside the documents, extracts the core information and categorises the documents.
3. Lumina Query API is an API to Lumina results which allows users of Lumina to design their own UI.
4. Lumina Portal is the web presentation layer, able to query and show all the details of the classified documents from different points of view.
5. The Domain model is the domain-specific data that helps configure and drive the processing, the API and the presentation layer. It can contain information such as companies and people most relevant to the specific domain, categories that help classify documents in the desired way and more.
